Job Overview

The Wildcatter Ranch & Resort is seeking a dynamic and energetic Wrangler to join our team! Our Wranglers represent Texas and cowboy culture by guiding guests on Wildcatter activities including trail rides, clay shooting, archery, jeep tours, team building, and other activities. You will be responsible for ensuring safety protocols are followed, and fostering a welcoming environment for all. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will inspire others to connect with nature and learn new skills. This paid position offers an incredible opportunity to develop leadership abilities while working in a picturesque outdoor setting.

Base pay starts at $13/hr plus gratuity from activities.

Duties

• Lead groups of visitors through outdoor activities, ensuring safety and enjoyment at all times
• Provide clear instructions and demonstrations on riding, roping, or other outdoor skills
• Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety guidelines and performing routine equipment checks
• Engage with guests from around the world to enhance their experience
• Manage time effectively to coordinate activities and ensure smooth transitions between sessions
• Foster a positive atmosphere by demonstrating leadership, teaching techniques, and excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Prior horsemanship and outdoor work experience or a passion for outdoor activities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to teach and motivate diverse audiences
• Leadership experience in guiding groups or managing activities
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Presentable appearance that aligns with company and cowboy culture
• Must be able to tell stories of the ranch, Texas, and our history while leading activities. We'll help you learn it along the way
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels
• Capable of lifting 40 lbs
• Flexible work schedule, including weekends, evening, and holidays
• Must have reliable transporation to work. No relocation support or housing available.

Pay: $700.00 - $1,400.00 per week
