Technological Infrastructure Manager/Technical Operations Manager

Job Description

JOB TITLE: Technological Infrastructure Manager/Technical Operations Manager

DEPARTMENT: Operations, Kuna Idaho

REPORTS TO: Operations Senior Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

American Ostrich Farms (AOF) is seeking a highly capable, systems-minded individual to oversee the technical infrastructure, operational systems, and mechanical reliability of our Hatch & Incubation Department.

This is not a people-management role — it is an infrastructure and process management role.

The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of operations, technology, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. This person will own the systems that keep a modern hatchery and high end incubation facility functioning: environmental controls, sensors, networking, low-voltage systems, equipment reliability, process documentation, vendor coordination, and operational troubleshooting.

You do not need to be a master electrician, software engineer, or IT administrator — but you must possess strong working knowledge, mechanical intuition, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly, diagnose problems, and coordinate solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys:

  • solving operational problems
  • managing systems and infrastructure
  • working with technology in the real world
  • creating organization from chaos
  • troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues
  • improving processes and reliability over time

No two days are the same. One day may involve calibrating environmental systems, coordinating with vendors, organizing infrastructure upgrades, troubleshooting sensor failures, documenting SOPs, or assisting with equipment repairs. Another day may involve database cleanup, managing operational reporting systems, networking issues, hatch systems optimization, or supporting ranch-wide technical initiatives.

We are a highly meritocratic company. Compensation, bonuses, advancement, and autonomy are directly tied to performance, ownership, initiative, and results.
