Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Ranch Hand/Laborer to join our dynamic agricultural team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of livestock, managing farm equipment, and supporting various operational tasks across the ranch. Responsibilities

  • Assist with animal husbandry duties including feeding, watering, grooming, and general care of livestock such as cattle, horses, or other farm animals.
  • Operate heavy equipment and farm machinery safely for tasks such as plowing, planting, irrigation setup, and harvesting.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution across fields or pastures.
  • Support fencing repairs, animal handling procedures, and facility upkeep to maintain a secure environment for animals and staff.
  • Supervise or assist with other laborers on tasks requiring heavy lifting or physical endurance.
  • Maintain detailed records of animal health, equipment maintenance logs, and daily operational activities.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in farming or agriculture is highly desirable; familiarity with horticulture or greenhouse work is a plus.
  • Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating farm machinery such as tractors or loaders.
  • Strong animal husbandry skills including animal care and handling techniques.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely; ecertification preferred but not required.
  • Experience with welding, equipment repair, irrigation systems, and power tools is advantageous.
  • Supervisory experience is beneficial for leadership roles within the team.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping; physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of equine handling or growing experience in horticulture can enhance your contribution to the team.
