Ranch Hand/Laborer

Duties

• Assist with daily animal husbandry duties, including feeding, watering, and general care for livestock such as cattle, or other farm animals
• Operate heavy machinery and equipment such as tractors, forklifts, and irrigation systems to support farming activities
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on farm machinery, tools, and equipment using welding, hand tools, and power tools
• Manage fencing, gates, and enclosures to ensure animal safety and secure property boundaries
• Support planting, harvesting, greenhouse work, and crop growing activities utilizing horticultural knowledge and irrigation systems
• Handle heavy lifting tasks related to feed storage, hay bales, or equipment transport while adhering to safety protocols
• assist with other team members in various farm projects to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience on a farm or ranch setting is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
• Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair and maintenance is highly desirable
• Strong animal handling skills with experience in animal husbandry and care for different species
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and other power tools safely and effectively
• Knowledge of welding techniques for equipment repair or fencing projects is a plus but not necessary
• Familiarity with irrigation systems
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions, and manual labor tasks
• Fluent in Spanish is a must
