Ranch Hand/Laborer

Duties

• Provide daily animal husbandry duties, including feeding, watering, and caring for livestock such as cattle, horses, and other farm animals
• Operate heavy equipment and farm machinery safely and efficiently to assist with land clearing, fencing, and field work
• Conduct equipment repairs and maintenance using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge
• Assist with irrigation systems setup and management to ensure optimal crop growth and water efficiency
• Handle heavy lifting tasks involving feed bags, supplies, or equipment to support farm operations
• Assist with other laborers on various projects around the ranch or farm property
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, barns, storage facilities, and equipment storage yards

Requirements

• Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance is highly desirable
• Hands-on experience with animal husbandry practices including animal handling and care techniques
• Ability to operate forklifts, heavy machinery, power tools, hand tools, and other farm equipment safely
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture practices, greenhouse operations or growing experience is a plus
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor labor in varying weather conditions
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to farming tasks and record keeping
