Ranch Hand with Small Engine Mechanic Experience

We’re looking for a dependable Ranch Hand to join our team and assist with the daily upkeep of a private ranch in Devers, Texas. This is a full-time, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating/repairing/maintaining equipment, and pitching in wherever needed to keep the ranch running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance of ranch grounds, buildings, and equipment
• Help repair and maintain fences, fields, roads, and wooded areas
• Support preparation of the ranch for seasonal hunting and fishing activities (deer, hogs, fishing)
• Take part in tree farm care, including planting, watering, trimming, and general upkeep
• Operate and care for heavy equipment (tractors, mowers, etc.) under supervision
• Perform basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and fence repairs as needed
• Work closely with the Ranch Manager and team to complete daily tasks efficiently

Qualifications

• Previous ranch, farm, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred, but not required
• Small engine mechanical experience - repairing and maintaining
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to operate machinery and tools
• Must be physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to commute to the Liberty County area
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
