Ranch Hand / Intern

Duties

• Assist with daily animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, watering, and health monitoring of livestock such as horses, cattle, or other farm animals
• Processing and working cattle
• Rotational grazing (with the use of GeoFence technology)
• Animal records (701X software)
• Operate farm machinery and heavy equipment safely for tasks like irrigation (Pivots, gated pipe and flood), hauling / feeding hay and land / pasture maintenance
• Handle heavy lifting and physical labor required for maintaining pastureland, barns, or storage facilities.
• Build / repair fence (high tensile, barb and board fences)
• Prior experience or interest in farming, agriculture, or horticulture is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with farm machinery or heavy equipment operation is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely
• Knowledge of animal husbandry practices including feeding routines and health monitoring
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks effectively
