Our Navajo Churro sheep, Dexter cattle, Cornish Cross broiler chickens and egg laying chickens are under our care, protected by our resident llamas, Lucky and Kuzco.
This is a weekend position (Saturday/Sunday with potential fill in work during some weekdays) Our work environment includes:
Duties:
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the ranch, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, mowers, and loaders to perform various tasks.
- Perform general ranch duties such as feeding and watering livestock, cleaning stalls, and maintaining fences.
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops in the greenhouse and garden.
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for various tasks around the ranch.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working on a ranch or farm is preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of basic math for measuring and mixing materials.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
