Ranch Hand

Job Posting: Full-Time Ranch Hand at Eight Mile Ranch
Location: Heppner, Oregon

Eight Mile Ranch is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, reliable, and honest individual to join our team as a Full-Time Ranch Hand. This position offers the opportunity to work with top-notch facilities and equipment in a large, well-kept cow/calf operation.

Job Duties:

• Feeding and doctoring livestock
• Working cattle on horseback
• Fencing maintenance and repairs
• Checking pastures and gathering livestock
• Managing haying operations
• Distributing salt and mineral supplements
• Assisting with various day-to-day ranch chores
• Calving responsibilities, including winter night checks on heifers
• Assisting during calving, including pulling calves when needed
• Weighing, tagging, and documenting new calves accurately

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL preferred (not required, but a bonus)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and passion for ranching

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
