Petting Zoo Attendant

The Barnyard at 2R Ranch is hiring dependable weekend petting zoo attendants to help with birthday parties, festivals, school events, weddings, and community events throughout North Texas and DFW.

Responsibilities:

• Help load and unload animals and equipment
• Set up and break down petting zoo enclosures
• Supervise guests while they interact with the animals
• Keep animals comfortable and the event area clean
• Answer basic questions and provide a friendly guest experience
• Help feed, water, handle, and care for animals
• Follow all safety and animal-care procedures

What we’re looking for:

• Drive a truck while safely towing a livestock trailer
• Transport animals and equipment to and from events
• Weekend availability, including some Fridays and evenings
• Reliable transportation to our ranch in Sherman
• Dependable, punctual, hardworking, and comfortable taking direction
• Friendly and professional around children, families, and clients
• Comfortable working closely with farm animals
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical work
• Comfortable cleaning up after animals
• Animal or livestock experience is required

This is a part-time position with varying hours based on our event schedule. Some weekends may include multiple events, long days, and travel throughout the DFW area. Applicants must understand that this is hands-on work involving animals, cleaning, loading, setup, breakdown, and interacting with the public.
