Part-time Ranch Hand
Job Description
Equine Voices is looking for an honest, reliable hard worker that loves animals.
Anticipated schedule is Friday-Sunday from 6:30 am -3 pm. Horse experience is preferred but not required. If you are the right person for the job, we will train you!
A ranch hand has the following responsibilities:
- Feeding and watering of 65 equines
- Daily dragging using an ATV, once per day
- Mucking of corrals and stalls, twice per day
- Ensure all special needs horses have been attended to: walked, hooves picked, eyes washed, special medical procedures completed, apply fly ointment in summer, blankets on/off in the winter
- Daily turnout
- Assist veterinarian, dentist and farrier with horses
- Quarterly de-worming, monthly psyllium supplementation
- Other ranch duties as assigned
This job has physical requirements. Applicants must be able to:
- Must be able to lift and move hay bails with an average weight of 100 pounds
- Must be able to bend, lift, squat, and walk distances across the ranch
Additional skills such as: physical strength, stamina, organization, teamwork, critical thinking, the ability to follow instructions, and coordination are necessary

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
