Job Summary
Bridle Brook Farm is seeking a reliable and skilled Farm Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of farm equipment, barns, facilities, grounds, and landscaping. This hands-on position is responsible for ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained year-round. The ideal candidate will have experience with equipment operation, facility repairs, grounds maintenance, and general farm upkeep while demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm machinery, tractors, utility vehicles, and equipment.
- Maintain barns, stables, fences, gates, paddocks, arenas, and other farm structures.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify and address repair needs before they become major issues.
- Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, weed control, landscaping, and seasonal cleanup.
- Operate farm and grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with snow removal, storm cleanup, and other seasonal property maintenance tasks.
- Ensure storage areas, and workspaces remain clean, organized, and safe.
- Monitor property conditions and communicate maintenance priorities to management.
- Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of general facility maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical repairs.
- Experience operating tractors, mowers and other farm or landscaping equipment.
- Skilled in groundskeeping, landscaping, and property maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and implement practical solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience in agricultural, equestrian, farm, ranch, or barn environments preferred.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
