Machinist and CNC Operator
Job Description
Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for those who are trained in CNC operation but can apply other skills and experiences and learn a wide variety of new skills. Some on the job training will be provided, but candidates should have experience with some of the tools and tasks described. LDAG Machinery is a farm equipment manufacturing company located in Eureka, MT. We have been developing and manufacturing farming implements for over 30 years.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and operating CNC machine for milling.
- Reading and following specifications and work instructions for each product
- Preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto machines
- Will be responsible for running, setting up, troubleshooting and routine maintenance of precision machinery
- Perform basic machining and/or assembly tasks utilizing standard machine shop equipment, such as grinders, presses, sanders, band saws, router table, and standard hand and power tools.
- Inspect finished product for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Answer customer questions about products and orders via phone and email
- Package completed products for shipping and prepare shipping documents & labels online.
Skills and experience:
- Experience with basic shop machinery, hand tools, and small power tools required.
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills required.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
- Comfortable with: Microsoft Office, Email, Internet, General Office Equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly with co-workers and customers.
- Ideal candidate will have familiarity with a CNC router.
- Prior experience with customer service is desirable.
- Experience with welding and mechanical repairs is desirable.
- Experience with mid-size machinery (skid steer, tractor or similar) is desirable.
- Familiarity with agriculture and hay balers is a plus.
- Prior experience with shipping is a plus: packaging & completing shipping information on UPS or Fedex sites.
Our manufacturing building is located on a working cattle ranch. Some outdoor manual labor will be required during off-peak manufacturing months. During these slow manufacturing periods you will assist other employees with a variety of ranch work. This could include but is not limited to: fence repair, small/mid-size machinery operation and maintenance.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
