BarnBuddy is a growing platform designed to connect horse and livestock owners with trusted local people who can help with the everyday work that keeps barns, ranches, and animals cared for.

We are currently looking for dependable, experienced individuals in the horse, livestock, and agricultural community to join BarnBuddy as service providers.

This is a great opportunity for barn workers, experienced horse people, ranch hands, college students, trainers, riders, and other animal-care professionals who want to pick up additional work and build their own client base.

Providers can offer the services they are experienced and comfortable performing and have the flexibility to choose the jobs that work for their schedule.

Services may include barn sitting, feeding, stall cleaning, turnout, exercise riding, ranch work, livestock care, equine services, and other barn-related assistance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Depending on the services you choose to offer, responsibilities may include:

  • Feeding and watering horses and/or livestock
  • Cleaning stalls, pens, paddocks, and barn areas
  • Turning horses out and bringing them in
  • Barn sitting and animal check-ins
  • Exercise riding, groundwork, or lunging for qualified providers
  • General barn and ranch chores
  • Livestock care
  • Maintaining clean and safe animal areas
  • Following specific instructions provided by animal or property owners
  • Communicating professionally with clients
  • Arriving on time and completing accepted services reliably
  • Providing updates to owners when appropriate

Providers are able to choose which services they offer based on their individual experience.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Reliable transportation
  • Dependable and comfortable working independently
  • Experience with horses, livestock, barn work, ranch work, or another relevant service
  • Ability to safely work around large animals when offering animal-care services
  • Good communication and time-management skills
  • Smartphone and internet access
  • Willingness to create and maintain a BarnBuddy provider profile
  • Must only offer services you are qualified and comfortable performing

Experience requirements may vary depending on the services offered. Specialized services such as exercise riding, training, equine dentistry, bodywork, nutrition, hoof care, or other professional services may require additional experience, qualifications, licensing, or insurance where applicable.
