Job Description
Job Summary/ Essential Functions:
As a Fleet Maintenance Technician 3 you will be tasked with the maintenance and repair of the vehicles, equipment, and small engines at the Ranch. Assist with coordination of outside contractors for major repairs or services. Candidate must have strong diagnostic skills in all areas of fleet repair. Work may be performed in a shop or out in the field, in any weather condition. Duties will be varied throughout the day as situations arise. There will be an emphasis on preventive maintenance in all our fleet services. You may also assist with snow removal with vehicle mounted plow equipment, snow blowers and snow shovels.
Job Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge and experience in all of the following: Vehicle Electrical, Vehicle hydrostatic system repair, Heavy equipment service, Snow Cat service, Light duty truck repair, Small engine repair.
- Advanced Mechanical and Diagnostic aptitude.
- Ability to use computer, both onboard machines and stand-alone PC/tablet, for diagnoses and repair of all equipment.
- Ability to stay on task with limited supervision.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other vehicle systems.
- Knowledge and experience in safe operation of all types of equipment, machines, and vehicles.
- Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools and other equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and learn tasks associated with resort operations.
- Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
- Willingness to work with others provide training and guidance to junior technicians and promote a positive work environment.
Job Duties:
- Work in the Fleet Maintenance team with a positive and productive manner.
- Assist manager with task lists, work order fulfillment and team scheduling.
- Pleasantly greet, make eye contact, listen, and respond appropriately to every member’s or members guest’s needs and or questions.
- Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Abide by all rules of the road and safe speed for conditions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Abides by operating procedures, i.e., pre-trip inspection, fueling & fluids checks, Interior vehicle inspection and cleaning.
- Ensure that all equipment receives visual pre-work check list inspection prior to starting maintenance procedures.

Performs major preventive maintenance on equipment per manufacturers
recommendations and reports equipment issues to manager. - Follow and perform all company and departmental policies and procedures i.e., punctuality, attendance, dress, and grooming standards, etc.
- Attends staff meetings and pre shift safety meetings.
- Snow removal with truck mounted snowplows. Loader, skid loader etc.
- Assist members, guests, and coworkers to enjoy their time at WPR.
Education and/or Experience:
- 3-5 years vehicle maintenance or trade experience.
- ASE Master Technician status preferred but not mandatory.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Driver’s License, in good standing, required.
Classification:
- Full Time / Year Round
Licenses and Special Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to communicate effectively and write in English.
Position Expectations:
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Regularly exposed to wet / snowy and/or cold conditions.
- Regularly work a modified schedule especially during snow removal operations.
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting up to 100lb, bending, stooping and movement.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous sitting, standing, and walking.
- May need to use some protective equipment.
