Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mill Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that materials are processed efficiently and safely. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate various types of machinery within a mill environment. The Mill Worker will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in feed production.

Duties

  • Operate milling equipment and machinery to process raw materials into finished products.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, identifying any mechanical issues that may arise.
  • Fabricate components as needed for repairs or modifications to existing machinery.
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials, utilizing heavy equipment such as forklifts or tankers when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
  • Experience in food processing or food production environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and tankers.
  • Ability to fabricate parts or components for machinery effectively.
  • Previous experience in a farm or agricultural setting is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
