We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mill Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that materials are processed efficiently and safely. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate various types of machinery within a mill environment. The Mill Worker will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in feed production.
Duties
- Operate milling equipment and machinery to process raw materials into finished products.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, identifying any mechanical issues that may arise.
- Fabricate components as needed for repairs or modifications to existing machinery.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials, utilizing heavy equipment such as forklifts or tankers when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Experience in food processing or food production environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and tankers.
- Ability to fabricate parts or components for machinery effectively.
- Previous experience in a farm or agricultural setting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
