Farm/Ranch Hand

In this role, you will be actively involved in livestock management, equipment maintenance, and general farm duties that keep our operations running efficiently. Duties

• Assist with livestock care, including feeding, watering, herding, and health monitoring to ensure animal well-being.
• Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, forklifts, and other farm machinery safely and efficiently for planting, harvesting, and transportation tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and machinery using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of feed supplies, livestock, and equipment to support daily farm operations.
• Support crop (hay) growing activities by assisting with greenhouse operations, planting, watering, and harvesting crops as needed.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to proper procedures during all tasks to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
• Supervise or collaborate with other team members on farm projects, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Experience

• Proven experience in farming or ranching environments with a strong understanding of agricultural practices.
• Demonstrated ability to operate farm machinery such as agricultural tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely.
• Hands-on animal husbandry experience including livestock handling, animal care, and health management.
• Mechanical skills related to equipment repair, maintenance, welding, and troubleshooting of agricultural machinery.
• Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and manual handling procedures.
• Outdoor work experience across various weather conditions with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Knowledge of animal husbandry practices including livestock management and equine (horse) care is highly desirable.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
