Farm Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and reliable Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with livestock care, crop and garden management, equipment operation, and general farm maintenance. This position requires someone who can work independently, solve problems, and ensure the farm operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm operations and activities
• Care for livestock, including feeding, watering, monitoring health, and maintaining clean living areas
• Manage planting, cultivation, irrigation, harvesting, and general crop production
• Monitor and maintain pastures, gardens, orchards, and landscaped areas
• Operate and perform basic maintenance on farm equipment and tools
• Maintain fencing, barns, gates, and other farm infrastructure
• Coordinate feed, supplies, and inventory management
• Monitor farm health and safety practices
• Identify and address animal health concerns and coordinate veterinary care when needed
• Keep accurate records of livestock, crops, equipment maintenance, and farm activities
• Assist with seasonal projects and overall property upkeep

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing or working on a farm, ranch, homestead, or agricultural operation
• Knowledge of livestock care and animal husbandry
• Experience with crop production, gardening, irrigation, or horticulture
• Ability to operate tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, and other farm equipment
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor as needed
• Valid driver's license preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple types of livestock (cattle, horses, goats, sheep, poultry, etc.)
• Knowledge of pasture management and rotational grazing
• Basic mechanical and repair skills
• Agricultural certifications or related education

Pay: $150.00 - $170.00 per day

Work Location: In person
