Job Description

Job Summary: Barn Hands are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean environment, overall maintenance and daily running of the facility, feeding, cleaning & administering medication.

Must be available Sundays and Mondays 6:30 am - 11:30 am.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General care of horses (watering, turning in/out, feeding, blanketing, etc.).
  • Administering medications, de-wormers, ointments, and supplements.
  • Haltering and leading horses.
  • Unloading grain, hay, and shavings and putting them in the proper storage place(s).
  • Holding horses for vet or the farrier.
  • Cleaning stalls and storage rooms.
  • Cleaning feed buckets, tack/feed room, and automatic waterers.
  • Cleaning paddocks, water tanks, and shelters.
  • Keeping the barn clean and free of unnecessary clutter.

6 - 9 hrs available per week. Possibilty for more hours.
